In the past few days I have done a lot of walking. I have traveled to two of the districts in old Granada: Albayzin and Sacramonte. They both have great views of both the Sierra Nevadas (the original ones) and the Alhambra. They are both filled with tiny streets and little shops. I plan to go back and visit the Sacramonte in a few hours to celebrate the festival of San Cecilio. Along with trips inside of Granada, yesterday was my first day trip outside the city. A group of students went to the Sierra Nevada mountains to an area called Alpujarra. We did a little hike down the mountain and visited the town. I bought delicious homemade chocolate from a chocolate factory named Abuela Ili. It was a really great town and a great way to start off my weekend. I have to go but I will be posting about the festival in a few days!
